I created the data viz self-portrait below - using graphite, ink and watercolours - to visually tell you a little more about myself, my career, influences and hobbies. I hope you have as much fun exploring it as I had creating it!

Hi!
I'm T., the person behind Data Rocks!

 

I was once an analyst being thrown all sorts of data work, with little to no idea about what I was supposed to do with any of it. It was confusing, frustrating and overwhelming!

 

So now, I'm on a mission to help others in a similar situation:
 

- the analyst being thrown a request to make their data pop, with no idea of what to do with such a requirement;

- the sales analyst being thrown confusing dashboards and being told to be "data-driven";

- the designer being asked to derive insights from a database, having no formal understanding of what that might even mean.

My work can take multiple forms - sometimes as a dashboard, infographic, data story or art.

​

I am also an experienced workshop facilitator, teaching teams all around the world how they, too, can get better at this whole dataviz thing.
